Another police officer is revealed to have infiltrated social and pro-independence movements in Barcelona

Breaches:

La Directa reports that another National Police officer, who went by Daniel Hernández Pons, operated as a mole in these movements for three years. The undercover police officer first appeared at the gym of the squatted ‘La Cinètika’ centre in 2020. He reportedly participated in the protests against the imprisonment of Pablo Hasél, and at the very least, was also present at one of the break-ups of the Meridiana Resisteix protest. The police officer reportedly established romantic relationships with women, who facilitated his participation in assemblies, events and protests. The information comes after the Ministry of the Interior’s summer 2022 statement that the infiltrations had stopped, and after the National High Court dismissed Òmnium’s appeal in the case. Nonetheless, the report claims that the mole was still active in January 2023. Five female activists file a complaint accusing him of sexual abuse, a crime against moral integrity, disclosure of secrets and prevention of the exercise of civic rights. A few weeks, later la Directa reveals the case of the Spanish policeman who, under the alias of Ramón Martínez Hernàndez, infiltrated himself in the popular and antifascist movement in València.
