Breaches:
Junts per Catalunya-Lliures per Europa, led by Carles Puigdemont, Antoni Comín and Clara Ponsatí, are the winners in Catalonia and take two seats. The joint list headed by Oriol Junqueras that includes ERC, Euskal Herria Bildu and the BNG, takes three seats. In Spain, the PSOE is the clear winner, but at the European level, the European People’s Party, which includes the Spanish PP, wins the elections. Municipal elections are also held: ERC wins in Catalonia as a whole (both in the total number of city councillors and in votes) and also in Barcelona, where it takes 10 seats. JxCat’s bid in Barcelona, led by Joaquim Forn, comes in fifth place and only takes five seats.
