A jihadist attack takes place on Barcelona’s Rambla, with a massive hit-and-run that leaves 14 fatalities, in addition to one person who dies of stab wounds inflicted as the driver flees. Members of the same terrorist cell carry out a second action in Cambrils, with one fatality, and are shot down by the Mossos d’Esquadra. The driver of the vehicle on the Rambla will be shot down days later by an agent of the Mossos d’Esquadra.
