Breaches:
The PSOE, Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya, Izquierda Unida, BNG, Coalición Canaria and Chunta Aragonesista vote in Congress in favour of the investiture of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero as president of the Spanish government. Mariano Rajoy’s PP votes against it, while CiU, PNV, Eusko Alkartasuna and Nafarroa Bai abstain. Zapatero replaces José María Aznar, who has been in power since 1996.
