The Catalan Parliament submits an appeal of unconstitutionality against Article 155

Breaches:

The Standing Committee of the Parliament of Catalonia -the body that performs the functions of the plenary session until a new parliament is formed following the last elections- approves an appeal of unconstitutionality to be filed against the application of Article 155 with votes by the JxSí and Catalunya Sí Que es Pot (CSQP) MPs. This is approved following a verdict by the Council of Statutory Guarantees, which considered the dissolution of Parliament and the dismissal of the Government disproportionate. The appeal is finally submitted on 9 January 2018.
