The Mossos d’Esquadra shoot a hard-foam projectile at photojournalist Sira Esclasans during a protest against the Supreme Court ruling

Breaches:

The photojournalist, wearing her credential, was covering a protest on Carrer Diputació against the Supreme Court ruling when she was injured in the leg by a hard-foam projectile fired by the Mossos d’Esquadra’s BRIMO unit. Esclasans files a complaint on the charges of injuries and violation of constitutional rights and guarantees by a public official. The Examining Magistrate’s Court no. 25 of Barcelona orders the provisional dismissal of the case and closes it, arguing that the complainant was unable to determine the officer who fired the shot and the police force they belonged to. The Provincial Court of Barcelona upholds the decision, and Esclasans brings an appeal for protection before the Constitutional Court.
