The Partido Popular group in Congress submits an appeal of unconstitutionality against the Statute of Catalonia

This is the first appeal of unconstitutionality against the Statute. The PP’s group in Congress, led by Mariano Rajoy, is arguing that the Statute is a ‘parallel Constitution’ and asking that the definition of Catalonia as a nation and the ‘duty’ to know Catalan be removed.
