The Spanish government submits an appeal to the Constitutional Court on the Catalan law on consultations of the people via referendum

The Spanish government believes that the State has the exclusive competence to call referendums and that the appeal is in line with theConstitutional Court ruling on the Statute. With the admission to procedure on 15 February 2011, the withdrawn articles are suspended.
