A teacher from Tremp gives evidence before the judge for an alleged crime of inciting hatred and disclosure of secrets for his publications on social media against the Spanish police forces

Breaches:

Tremp secondary school teacher Manel Riu, investigated under the Operation Dignity campaign, gives evidence before Tremp Examining Magistrate’s Court for alleged crimes of inciting hatred and the disclosure of secrets following his publications on social media amounting to more than a hundred posts criticising the Civil Guard and the National Police for violent attacks during the 1 October referendum and the following months. On 24 April, the Tremp magistrate provisionally files the case against Manel Riu, as she agreed, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office to submit the case to the National High Court in case it constitutes a possible crime of slander towards King Felipe VI.
