Artur Mas is sworn in as president of the government of Catalonia with the votes of the CiU and ERC, led by Oriol Junqueras. The results of the elections are interpreted as citizen support for the call for a consultation on sovereignty. The other groups (PSC, ICV – EUiA, PP, Ciudadanos and CUP) voted against the investiture.
