Repetition of the general elections in Spain

Breaches:

After the failure of the investiture of Pedro Sánchez in March, with the support of Albert Rivera (Ciudadanos) and the opposition of practically all the other parties, including Podemos, ERC, Convergència, PNV, Bildu and Compromís, the general electionsare repeated. Mariano Rajoy’s PP wins the elections again and improves its results a little, but is far from having an absolute majority in Congress. On the other hand, the PSOE and Ciudadanos lose 5 and 8 MPs, respectively, and Podemos (Pablo Iglesias), which ran in a coalition with Izquierda Unida, wins two more seats but loses 1.2 million votes. The PP maintain an absolute majority in the Senate.
