Supreme Court judge Pablo Llarena takes statements from the imprisoned former members of the Government

Llarena sentences Vice President Oriol Junqueras, Joaquim Forn and Jordi Sànchez (ANC) and Jordi Cuixart (Òmnium Cultural) to preventive detention. The remaining jailed MPs (Josep Rull, Jordi Turull, Raül Romeva, Dolors Bassa, Meritxell Borràs and Carles Mundó) are sentenced under a bail of 100,000 euros. The latter are released from prison the same day after the sovereignist entities pay the bail using the Caixa de Solidaritat solidarity fund. Junqueras makes an appeal for his prison sentence to the Supreme Court.
