The Supreme Court confirms its competence to judge the leaders of the 1 October referendum but refers the case of Mireia Boya and members of the Bureau, except Carme Forcadell, to the High Court of Justice of Catalonia

The Supreme Court’s Criminal Chamber hearing the case against the leaders of the 1 October referendum confirms its jurisdiction to try those accused of rebellion and/or embezzlement of funds (Junqueras, Forn, Turull, Romeva, Rull, Bassa, Forcadell, Cuixart, Sànchez, Borràs, Mundó and Vila) but agrees to refer to the High Court of Justice of Catalonia the case against former members of the Bureau Lluís Corominas, Lluís Guinó, Anna Simó, Ramona Barrufet and Josep Nuet and against the former president of the CUP parliamentary party, Mireia Boya, to whom theProsecutor’s Office has only attributed a crime of disobedience.
