The Supreme Court rejects appeals by the prisoners involved in the 1 October referendum against their preventive detention

The the Supreme Court’s Criminal Chamber dismisses appeals by Josep Rull, Jordi Turull, Dolors Bassa, Raül Romeva and Carme Forcadell against their preventive detention sentenced by Pablo Llarena on 23 March. On 25 May, Rull and Turull submit an appeal for protection that is admitted by the Constitutional Court on 5 June and Bassa, Romeva and Forcadell submit appeals for protection on 28 June, all of which are admitted for consideration on 17 July.
