Youngsters from Altsasu ask for the recusal of Concepción Espejel

Youngsters from Altsasu ask for the recusal of the magistrate Concepción Espejel because of her affinity with the Civil Guard, given that she is married to a member of this police force. Espejel was already recused from the Gürtel case and the Bárcenas case due to her ‘ideological affinity’ with the PP after the magistrate refused to voluntarily recuse herself. The recusal raised by the defense of the youngsters from Altsasu is denied because the section of the Criminal Chamber of the National High Courtto which Espejel belongs, considers that it has not been submitted within the corresponding period.
