The Provincial Court of Barcelona has sentenced a young CDR member to one year and nine months in prison for the unrest during the meeting of the Spanish government’s Council of Ministers on 21 December 2018 at the Llotja de Barcelona. He is convicted of public disturbance and attacking authority for having dragged a Mossos d’Esquadra riot police officer, even though he did not injure the officer at all. In fact, the same officer was the one to arrest him. The Prosecutor’s Office was calling for four years in prison.
