Billy goes to trial for his participation in the protests against Pablo Hasél’s imprisonment

Billy was arrested in February 2021 while he was going home from the demonstration against Pablo Hasél’s imprisonment and two plain-clothes officers assaulted him. He spent two nights under arrest and in June of the same year he was arrested again for a second case. For the first one, whose trial takes place today, the Prosecutor’s Office requests five years in prison for the crimes of continued public disorders, damages with arson and assault on the authority. In the second case, the Prosecutor’s Office requests seven years and four months in prison for public disorders and damages with arson. He is also accused of leading the demonstration. The young man has had to appear before the courts during all this time to sign. Upon leaving the trial, Alerta Solidària association announces that they beat the accusation of riots committed during those days, according to the Mossos d’Esquadra’s version, and Billy is sentenced to public disorders and assault on the authority. The sentence is suspended, and Billy avoids prison.
