Lamela sentences the MPs related with the 1 October referendum who testified before the National High Court to prison

Breaches:

The vice-president Oriol Junqueras and the ministers not exiled in Belgium (Joaquim Forn, Josep Rull, Jordi Turull, Raül Romeva, Dolors Bassa, Meritxell Borràs, Carles Mundó and Santi Vila) give evidence before Examining Magistrate Carmen Lamelaat Spain’s National Court, although the defense had requested more time to prepare evidence. The magistrate sends them into preventive detention, except for Vila, who she sentences to jail under a bail of 50,000 euro. Lamela justifies imprisonment due to what she consideres a risk of reoffending, destruction of evidence and escape. Junqueras, Forn, Rull, Turull, Romeva, Mundó and Vila are admitted to Estremera prison, which Vila leaves the next day having paid bail. Bassa and Borràs are admitted to Alcalà Meco prison. Supreme Court magistrate Pablo Llarena accepts the requests of Forcadell’s defense and the former members of the Bureau (Lluís Corominas, Lluís Guinó, Anna Simó, Ramona Barrufet and Josep Nuet) and postpones their appearances to 9 November.
