Breaches:
The examining magistrate forthe 1 October referendum case at the Supreme Court, Pablo Llarena, notifies the following interlocutory ordre: Prosecuted for rebellion are former president and former vice-president of the Government of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont and Oriol Junqueras; former MPs Jordi Turull, Raül Romeva, Toni Comín, Josep Rull, Dolors Bassa, Clara Ponsatí and Joaquim Forn, the former president of Parliament Carme Forcadell, the former president of the ANC Jordi Sànchez, the president of Òmnium Jordi Cuixart and the secretary-general of the ERC Marta Rovira. Prosecuted for disobedience are: former MPs Meritxell Borràs, Lluís Puig, Carles Mundó, Meritxell Serret and Santi Vila, former members of the Board Lluis Corominas, Lluis Guinó, Anna Simó, Ramona Barrufet and Josep Nuet, and the former president and spokesperson of the CUP, Mireia Boya and Anna Gabriel. All former MPs are additionally being prosecuted for embezzlement. In the same interlocutory order, he ruled to maintain preventive detention for Junqueras, Forn, Sànchez and Cuixart, therefore rejecting Cuixart’s request on 1 March for their release. He also establishes a joint bond for former members of the Government, that is, those prosecuted for embezzlement, for 2.1 million euros as a guarantee against any civil liability that may arise from the procedure. Llarena does not prosecute Artur Mas, Marta Pascal or Neus Lloveras for any crime.
