Puigdemont, Comín and Ponsatí turn to European Court

Carles Puigdemont, Antoni Comín and Clara Ponsatí appeal against the European Parliament’s decision to lift their immunity before the General Court of the European Union. On 26 May, they also request that their immunity be restored as a precautionary measure to prevent the execution of the European Arrest Warrants issued by the Supreme Court while their appeal is being processed. On 2 June, the court provisionally gives them back their immunity pending the arguments of the European Parliament and the State Attorney’s Office on the precautionary measures.
