Breaches:
Carles Puigdemont and Antoni Comín go to the European Parliament to carry out the preliminary administrative formalities as MEP-elects, but are refused entry and not allowed to proceed. The outgoing president of the Parliament, Antonio Tajani of the European People’s Party, issues orders for the Spanish MEPs not too be given their credentials until the election results are officially announced. However, this decision only ends up affecting Puigdemont and Comín, since the rest of the MEPs elected in Spain can continue with the accreditation process. Puigdemont and Comín’s lawyers will write to Tajani several times requesting explanations, but receive no response.
