The actor Toni Albà is under investigation and testifies again, after he first gave evidence on 30 January 2018, before the Fifth Examining Magistrate’s Court of Vilanova i la Geltrú

Breaches:

This comes as the case is widened in relation to new tweets published between October 2017 and February 2018, which the court considers to indicate a crime of slander containing publicity against the State Security Forces and Corps, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the Justice Administration. The tweets were directed mainly at the Civil Guard and National Police, and National High CourtMagistrate Carmen Lamela. The Prosecutor’s Office asks the judge to declare the case as complex, which would extend the period of investigation up to 18 months, but Toni Albà’s defence opposes this and demands that the case be closed. The judge does not agree to the extension and agrees, on 6 June 2018, to continue proceedings while concluding the investigation.
