The Civil Guard appears at 31 town halls in the province of Lleida to investigate their involvement in holding the 1 October referendum

The request is carried out at the request of the Lleida Public Prosecutor’s Office as part of the investigative proceedings of the mayors of the town halls that are collaborating with the government of Catalonia to bring the referendum to fruition, such as by allowing the government to use their premises. The Prosecutor’s Office of Tarragona sends the request directly by fax to the town halls in the province.
