The Civil Guard interrogates the newspaper El Punt Avui director Xevi Xirgo, as well as acting president of the Catalan Media Corporation (CCMA) Núria Llorach and ‘directe.cat’ editor Joan Puig for allegedly promoting the institutional campaign for the 1 October referendum on its platforms, in particular the ‘Civisme’ campaign and an advertisement with a photo of some train tracks that branch off in a different direction with the slogan ‘You were born with the ability to decide. Will you give that up?’ These interrogations are carried out as part of the case opened by Examining Magistrate’s Court no. 13, investigating the preparations made for the referendum.
