The Electoral Board censures expressions such as ‘government in exile’ and ‘exiled MPs’

Breaches:

As part of the electoral process for the parliamentary elections, the Barcelona Provincial Electoral Board prohibits TV3 from using the terms ‘government in exile’ and ‘exiled MPs,’ following an appeal by Ciudadanos. The orange party appeals to the Electoral Board, which considers the ruling by the Provincial Board as ‘insufficient’ and asks the Catalan Media Corporation not to use terms during the electoral process that may lead to ‘confusion’ such as ‘jailed MPs’ and ‘President’s list.’ On 24 November, the Central Electoral Board considered Ciudadanos to be right and ordered the Catalan Media Corporation not to use terms that could lead to ‘confusion.’
