Breaches:
The Criminal Court no. 11 of Barcelona acquitted the five members of the 1 October Electoral Commission (Jordi Matas, Tània Verge, Marta Alsina, Marc Marsal and Josep Pagès) of the crime of disobedience and abuse of power. The sentence argues, among other things, that it is not sufficiently proven that the members of the commission carried out any act that could be seen as disobeying the express decision of the Constitutional Court. On 29 April, the Prosecutor’s Office filed an appeal against the sentence before the Provincial Court of Barcelona.
