On the holiday for the patron of the Civil Guard, Our Lady of the Pillar, a couple days before the announcement of the verdict in the trial against the independence movement and in a political climate marked by the run-up to the general elections, the top official of the Civil Guard in Catalonia, Pedro Garrido, celebrates the Civil Guard’s 23 September arrests and its actions during the 1 October 2017 referendum. Garrido warns, literally, that ‘we’ll do it again’.
