The Central Electoral Board orders those convicted for the 1 October referendum to be disqualified from standing in the 10 November elections

Breaches:

In response to a query from the Provincial Electoral Board of Barcelona, the Central Electoral Board establishes that the pro-independence leaders convicted by the Supreme Court cannot stand in the 10 November general elections and asks the provincial boards to establish a ‘very short timeframe’ for the parties to replace the disqualified candidates and for the full lists of candidates to be announced. As such, Oriol Junqueras, Raül Romeva, Jordi Sànchez, Jordi Turull, Josep Rull and Quim Forn are unable to stand in the elections.
