The High Court of Justice of Catalonia sends Quim Torra’s case to trial

Breaches:

Carlos Ramos, the investigating judge in the yellow ribbon case against the presidentof the Government of Catalonia, Quim Torra, decides to prosecute him for a possible crime of disobedience and notifies the Prosecutor’s Office and VOX so they can present their indictments. The Prosecutor’s Office calls for one year and eight months of disqualification from public office and a fine of 30,000 euros, while VOX calls for two years of disqualification from public office and a fine of 72,000 euros. Meanwhile, Torra requests the recusal of Ramos, the investigating judge, arguing that his ruling is ‘clearly biased’, but Ramos himself denies the request. On 12 July, he decides to send the case to trial.
