The judge of the First Examining Magistrate’s Court of Barcelona who is handling the Volhov case refers proceedings against Francesc de Dalmases to the High Court of Justice of Catalonia

Breaches:

Joaquín Aguirre, the judge investigating the Volhov case, refers the proceedings against Francesc de Dalmases, MP of the Junts per Catalunya party, to the High Court of Justice of Catalonia. The referral is to ensure that the case against Dalmases, who enjoys MP status as member of the Parliament of Catalonia, can go ahead. He is accused of the crime of embezzlement of public funds, reportedly having diverted subsidies from the Provincial Council to foundations related to the CDC party, when during CiU’s administration. Shortly thereafter, the High Court of Justice of Catalonia rejects the case and returns it to the court.
