Minister of Culture Natàlia Garriga asks the High Court of Justice of Catalonia to declare its jurisdiction to judge her in relation to the organisation of the referendum

Breaches:

Garriga (who in 2017 was Head of Services under the General Secretariat of the Department for the Vice-Presidency and Economy and Finance of the Government of Catalonia) was being investigated by the 13th Court of Barcelona, which was prosecuting the case against members and former members of the Catalan Government for organising the referendum, but then asked that the case be continued before the High Court of Justice of Catalonia due to her parliamentary immunity. On 20 January 2022 the High Court of Justice of Catalonia admits this case to examination and joins it with those of ERC members Josep Maria Jové and Lluís Salvadó.
