The plenary session of the Parliament votes against removing Pau Juvillà’s seat, but they end up removing it under threat of legal consequences

Breaches:

The plenary session ratifies the decision regarding the seat of Juvillà (CUP) approved the day before by the Committee on the Statute of the MP. The verdict defends that Pau Juvillà should preserve the seat as long as he does not compromise the members of the Chamber. That same day, the Central Electoral Board had also threatened the president of the Parliament, Laura Borràs, with criminal liability if she did not comply with the agreements. Finally, the General Secretary of Parliament orders his seat removed, in compliance with the Central Electoral Committee’s agreements, ‘as required by law’ and to avoid legal consequences for her and other MPs. Pau Juvillà will appeal the decision before the Constitutional Court and will request its suspension as interim measure.
