Breaches:
The Seventh Examining Magistrate’s Court of Barcelona, which is in charge of investigating the police charges of 1 October in Barcelona, is prosecuting the gunman who shot Roger Español and three other national police officers for crimes of causing injury. The judge is also prosecuting Roger Español for an alleged crime of attacking the authority. The judge considers that the recordings provided show Español throwing a fence at an officer, despite not causing him injuries, and hitting another fence. In June 2023, the court sends the gunman, three members of the chain of command and a fifth agent for other injuries and the State Attorney appeals the decision. In October 2023, Barcelona Provincial Court dismisses the appeal and upholds the decision.
