The Supreme Court dismisses former president Quim Torra’s appeals against the Central Electoral Board’s sanctions

Breaches:

The Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court dismisses the appeals of the former president of the Catalan Government Quim Torra against the three sanctions imposed by the Central Electoral Board for violating neutrality during the campaign for the general elections of April 2019. The sanctions had been imposed for the display of yellow ribbons in public buildings and for the institutional message and a congratulation for St. George’s Day, the latter following the complaint by Ciudadanos and the PSC, respectively. On 24 July, the Central Electoral Board will execute the sanctions, which add up to a total of 8,500 euros.
