Turull, Rull and Jordi Sànchez appeal the ruling against the independence process before the Constitutional Court

The prisoners have submitted appeals for protection asking for the verdict to be declared null and void, arguing that their fundamental rights, such as the right to non-discrimination on the grounds of language, the right to ideological freedom under Article 17 of the Constitution, the rights of assembly and demonstration, the right to effective judicial protection, the right to a trial with all guarantees and the right to the legality of criminal proceedings, were violated. Turull, Rull and Sànchez ask for the precautionary suspension, pending a ruling on their appeal, of their prison terms and disqualification from public office for sedition and embezzlement of public funds.
