A court in Manresa starts the trial against Pessarrodona for his involvement in the 1 October referendum

Breaches:

The Second Criminal Court of Manresa has started the trial against the former ERC councillor of Sant Joan de Vilatorrada, Jordi Pesarrodona, for the crime of gross disobedience over his involvement in the 1 October referendum. He declares that the 1 October referendum was held at the polling station for the purpose of ‘exercising his right to vote’ and that he had not been notified that the Constitutional Court had previously suspended it. The Prosecutor’s Office is demanding a two year disqualification from holding any public office or position and a fine of 5,400 euros for the accused. The trial is pending sentencing.
