The Court of Appeal of Ghent asks the Belgian Constitutional Court whether the crime of offences against the King is constitutional

Breaches:

After the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union that Josep Valtònyc cannot be automatically extradited for the crime of glorification of terrorism, the Court of Appeal of Ghent asks the Belgian Constitutional Court whether the crime of offences against the King is compatible with the right to freedom of expression. The Court of Appeal of Ghent poses the question in order to ascertain whether the crime of lèse majesté for which the rapper was convicted in Spain corresponds to the crime of offences against the King under Belgian jurisdiction, one of the requirements to carry out the extradition.
