A young man from Premià de Mar is arrested in front of the Spanish police headquarters on Via Laietana, where he reports being subjected to ill-treatment

Breaches:

Roger Umpierrez is identified and arrested in front of the Spanish police headquarters on Via Laietana towards the end of a protest in support of a group of anti-fascists prosecuted in 2013. He will be investigated and tried by an examining magistrate’s court for the crime of attacking authority. Meanwhile, Umpierrez will press charges against the officers for having threatened and assaulted him inside the headquarters. His defence team complains that the examining magistrate is actively getting in the way of the preliminary investigation against the officers, repeatedly trying to close the case and even apologising to the officers for taking their statements.
