Barcelona Provincial Court acquits a man from Castellbisbal charged for his participation in the protests against the conviction of the 1 October referendum leaders

Breaches:

The Prosecutor’s Office asked for three years in prison for public disorders and assaulting the authority after allegedly having thrown stones to Spanish police. The judgment states how, on 18 October 2018, demonstrators threw stones, paving stones and other blunt objects to agents and they scolded and threatened them. For instance, Spanish Police agents alleged that in Passeig de Gràcia metro station Xavi was yelling: ‘Come down so we’ll kill you’. Nonetheless, the judges find that there is no proof that the accused yelled the agents or threw stones and is acquitted.
