Carles de Sants, arrested during the protests against Pablo Hasél’s imprisonment, is acquitted

Breaches:

Carles de Sants was arrested when he was coming back from the protests against the imprisonment of Pablo Hasél and was in pre-trial detention for a few days. The trial was held on 16 May in Barcelona Provincial Court. The Prosecutor’s Office requested 3 years and 6 months in prison for a crime of public disorders. The Second Section considers that the acts carried out by the accused had been proven, namely, moving a fence, are not tantamount to a conduct that alters public peace via violent acts or threats. In addition, it adds that it has not been proven that he participated in the acts and that it is not proven that the fence that the accused moved was used in such a way that altered public peace.
