Breaches:

El País reveals Operation Kitchen ‘Whatsapps’ against independentism. ‘Whatsapp’ text messages revealed by newspaper El País were between two of the people that have been investigated in the Kitchen case: Francisco Martínez, former State Secretary of Security, and Eugenio Pino Operative Deputy Director (DAO) of the National Police. El País publishes ‘whatsapps” regarding to make “noise” on the searches of the Pujol family; about a possible existence of an Swiss account of CDC that was already closed; Victoria Álvarez, former mistress of Jordi Pujol Ferrusola… Also, the texts messages say that they have to move forward an eviction of squatters in Barcelona, especially the fact that Trias was paying for their rent while he was the mayor. In an interview, Francisco Martínez had already assured, inter alia, that between the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013 there was an strategy to halt any threat of serious crimes against the constitutional order and this threat, the independentist movement, was of first order. Operation Kitchen was an operation carried out by Spanish Minister of the Interior, under the orders of Jorge Fernández Díaz, that is also on the case, with the aim of spying and obtaining information on Luís Bárcenas and concealing evidence of the illegal funding of the party. The operation would have been carried out between, at least, 2013 and 2015. The Central Investigating Court number 6 judge Manuel García-Castellón (the same in charge of the investigations of, inter alia, Operation Judas and Tamara Carrasco) has been investigating the case. Villarejo is also in the case. The text messages, from between 2015 and 2019, are being used in the legal proceedings.
