Electoral crime complaint against former ANC leader in Tàrrega is dismissed

Breaches:

The Court of Lleida dismisses the case against the former head of the ANC in Tàrrega, Salvador Bori, for an alleged electoral crime. The Prosecutor’s Office had appealed the Cervera Examining Magistrate’s Court’s dismissal of the case. Salvador Bori was under investigation for organising an event on 16 December 2017 in support of Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Cuixart that had been banned by the Central Electoral Board (JEC). The Provincial Court considers that there is insufficient evidence to prove that the event that took place was the one that had been banned by the JEC and that rather, as stated by the defendant, it was an electoral rally organised by ERC, JxCat and the CUP that had received the corresponding authorisation.
