Four independentists arrested for preparing a boycott against ‘La Vuelta’

Breaches:

Arrests were carried out, in the Solsonès county, by the Spanish Police Provincial Information Unit. The people under arrest, members of CDR and Desobediència Civil, are released after more than 54 hours of arrest. They are under investigation for the crimes of criminal organisation, public disorders, environmental crime and road safety. Alerta Solidària association denounces that they did not have access to the police file and that they could not have an interview with the people under arrest. Lawyer Eva Pous states that the police called the fact that the people under arrest kept speaking in Catalan “disrespectful” and that the arrests are “pre-emptive acts”. The Spanish police, in the early hours of the morning alongside the people under arrest with handcuffs, also search their houses and seize computers and other devices. The judge imposes the interim measure of prohibition to be near less than 500 meters to any section of la Vuelta in the Principality and orders the secrecy of proceedings. Nonetheless, the Spanish police leaks alleged evidence against the people under arrest and assure they were arrested red-handed. A few weeks later, the National High Court will dismiss the proceedings, but pre-trial proceedings are still ongoing before Solsona courts.
