Despite the UN’s request for precautionary measures to guarantee Jordi Sànchez’s political rights, judge Pablo Llarena denies his release and his request for an extraordinary permit to attend the investiture or be able to participate in it remotely. Roger Torrent cancels the investiture in parliament’s plenary session scheduled for the next day. Sànchez appealed Llarena’s decision to the Supreme Court.
