The National Police has reported Olga Ricomà from Tarragona, the daughter of ERC spokesperson Pau Ricomà, for an alleged crime of inciting hatred. She is being prosecuted for a banner on the balcony of her house with the slogan ‘Police go home’; in protest against the police violence during the 1 October referendum. She is also accused of publishing the photo of the banner on social media. She is now under investigation and the Second Examining Magistrate’s Court of Tarragona summons her to declare on 11 April. Her defence submits a letter to the court to request dismissal of the case, arguing the right to freedom of expression.
