Roger Umpierrez, arrested in front of the Via Laietana police headquarters in 2017, is put on trial at the Provincial Court of Barcelona along with the officers who allegedly abused him

Breaches:



The Prosecutor’s Office, charging him with attacking authority, is seeking a two-year prison sentence, while the officers who arrested Umpierrez, and who brought a private prosecution after he filed a complaint against them, are calling for three years. Meanwhile, Umpierrez is accusing the officers of a crime against physical and moral integrity and is calling for them to be sentenced to four years in prison and four years of disqualification from public employment, in addition to three months in prison for causing minor injuries.
