Breaches:
The Mossos d’Esquadra arrest six people in Malgrat de Mar (2), Solsona, Òrrius, Arenys de Mar and El Pont de Vilomara for the alleged crime of attacking authority and public disturbance by surrounding the Parliament on 30 January, when the plenary session for the investiture of Carles Puigdemont was planned. They were released on bail the same day in the afternoon. The Catalan National Assembly had called a rally in Barcelona’s Avinguda de Lluís Companys, after the Parc de la Ciutadella was closed for safety reasons. However, after learning of Torrent’s decision to suspend the plenary session, hundreds of demonstrators broke the security cordon and gathered for hours outside Parliament. The ANC called off the protest in the afternoon, but some participants in the protest remained and attempted to camp out to demand Torrent to allow the plenary session and swear Puigdemont in as president remotely.
