Breaches:
The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, presided over by Manuel Marchena, decides which evidence will be admitted in the case against the leaders of the 1 October referendum, and sets 12 February as the date for the start of the trial. Meanwhile, the transfer of the prisoners to Madrid begins: Oriol Junqueras, Joaquim Forn, Jordi Turull, Josep Rull, Raül Romeva, Jordi Sànchez and Jordi Cuixart will be taken to Soto del Real prison, while Carme Forcadell and Dolors Bassa will be taken to Alcalá-Meco. At Lledoners, the prison in Catalonia where they are being held, the CDRs hold demonstrations that are broken up by the Mossos d’Esquadra, who identify some of the demonstrators. The Mossos d’Esquadra send a report to the examining magistrates’ courts of Manresa, and two months later, the Eighth Examining Magistrate’s Court of Manresa opens a preliminary investigation against nine of them, the ‘Lledoners Nine‘, on charges of violent robbery, violence against authorities, injuries and jeopardising traffic.
