The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office opposed up to three times to tapping the phones and installing geolocators in the cars of David Madí, Xavier Vendrell and Xavier Vinyals

For a whole year, the Prosecutor’s Office expressed its reluctance on the police surveillance on the grounds that those under investigation were not part of the Catalan government and that there was no evidence of diversion of public funds for the creation of the cryptocurrency, in addition to the fact that ’per se,’ creating a cryptocurrency is not a crime in itself. Nevertheless, the intervention went ahead with the authorisation of judge Joaquín Aguirre.
