The Central Electoral Board orders TV3 to compensate the unionist parties for its coverage of a pro-independence demonstration

The Central Electoral Board grants the appeal presented by Ciudadanos against the Barcelona Provincial Electoral Board’s decision not to prosecute the CCMA (Catalan Media Corporation) for the TV3 channel’s coverage of the pro-independence demonstration held in Madrid on 16 March, during the general election period. It rules that TV3 violated the principles of information neutrality and that it will have to compensate the parties that did not support the protest with two hours of coverage. It also orders the Provincial Board to initiate a disciplinary proceedings against the CCMA.
